The MacBook Neo was already a bargain by Mac standards when it launched with a starting price of $599, but for students an education price of $499 made it a steal.
Sadly, that changed back in June when both retail and education prices rose by $100. Now, however, the education price has been raised even further …
As Macworld noted, Apple has increased the education price of the MacBook Neo to $649, a saving of just $50 over the standard price – and a full $150 more than it cost students when it first launched.
If you’re looking for a better deal, the site notes that Apple’s refurbished store is currently offering the base model for $599. Another option is Amazon, where you can buy the M1 MacBook Air for $529, or $579 for the 256GB model. You can also keep an eye on 9to5Toys for upcoming deals.
